In 2021, I embarked on a creative project focused on illustrating various pieces of architecture that I found fascinating. This project was a journey of discovering and appreciating architectural beauty.
The Process:
Selection of Architecture:
I began by selecting various architectural structures that intrigued me. These included buildings with unique designs and structures. Each structure was chosen for its distinctive features, which I aimed to highlight in my illustrations.
Colour as a Key Element:
One of the primary goals of this project was to create illustrations that were not only accurate but also vibrant and aesthetically appealing. To achieve this, I focused heavily on the use of colour. I sourced colours directly from the buildings I illustrated and others, making subtle tweaks to enhance their visual impact. This allowed me to maintain the essence of the original structures while adding my artistic touch.
This project was a delightful experience, and I relished every moment. Illustrating these buildings allowed me to gain an appreciation of architecture. It opened my eyes to the intricacies and beauty of different architectural styles and helped me develop a love for the field.
